Approximately 240 million people in the United States and Southern Canada were affected by the severe, life-threatening weather conditions, resulting from the winter storm dubbed the Polar Vortex this week. Citizens were advised to take precautions in order to protect themselves, homes and pets from the furor of this Arctic Blast.
Yet, this bone-chilling storm created another opportunity to curl up to a good book of poetry and a nice cup of hot tea during National Hot Tea Month. Today, we are reading poetry from the 1973 edition of The Norton Anthology of Modern Poetry, edited by Richard Ellmann and Robert O'Clair, while sipping on a cup of Country Peach Passion tea by Celestial Seasonings. Ooh-la-la!
