1.
The poem should focus on December holidays such
as Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, etc.
2.
Write something nostalgic, whimsical,
heart-warming or how you traditionally celebrate the holidays in your home or
community.
3.
Poem must be 12 lines or less.
4.
Poems can be in any poetic form (i.e. Rhymed,
Free Verse, Haiku, Limerick, Villanelle, etc.)
5.
Be sure to spell-check EVERYTHING!
6.
Include a short bio with your poem.
7.
If your poem was featured in an anthology,
literary work or in your book of poetry, please include the name of the book.
8.
If your poem is included in your book of poetry,
give us the title, your website, a JPEG of your book cover, a JPEG headshot of
you and where your book can be purchased. Please make sure the place of
purchase for your book is a legitimate site like Amazon.com,
BarnesandNoble.com, your publisher’s website or the shopping page on your
website.
9.
Make sure your poem is not offensive or vulgar
in any way, as we will have underage young people reading these poems.
10.
There is no monetary compensation for these
features. The Tea & Poetry Book Club would like to showcase poets
throughout the month on our site, to display the beauty of the holidays through
the use of our craft. Please note that if you submit your poem, you are giving
The Tea & PoetryBook Club permission to use if selected. You retain all rights. We will
also post on our Facebook,
Google+ and Twitter pages! Join us on our
social media channels.
11.
Space is limited. The deadline for submitting
your poem is Friday November 29, 2013. If the book club selects your poem to
feature, you will be notified of the day it will be published.
