What an amazing night of food, fun and poetry! Having the privilege to coordinate and lead the inaugural poetry event at the Indian Trail Cultural Arts Center in Indian Trail, NC was such a humbling and rewarding experience. I had the opportunity to share tonight's poetry reading with some awesome and amazing local poets. Each poet shared a morsel of his or her life's experience through the written word in such a mesmerizing way. Hats off to the following poets who shared their poetry with us: Mary Hatcher, Dwight Roth and Jessica Griffin.
As a member of the Tea & Poetry Book Club, I would like to thank Susan Didier, Community Development Specialist with the Town of Indian Trail for arranging to have the facility available to make this event happen tonight. There were so many supporters who came out for this event. I want to share a few snapshots from the night's festivities.
