Poetry is nothing new to
Patricia Neely-Dorsey. As the author of
Reflections of a Mississippi Magnolia: A Life In Poems published in 2008,
Patricia continues her southern poetic journey with her latest collection of
poetry, My
Magnolia Memories and Musings: In Poems, published in 2012. As we celebrate
the pageantry of poetry during National Poetry Month, commemorating the South
and all things southern, Patricia has become widely identified as the “Goodwill
Ambassador” for Mississippi and the South, as a poet, author, speaker and
workshop facilitator.
Using personal thoughts, observations, and childhood memories, Patricia attempts to give an up-close and positive view into the southern way of life. "There are so many negative connotations associated with Mississippi and the South in general. In my book, using childhood memories, personal thoughts and dreams, I attempt to give a positive glimpse into the southern way of life."
